Edmundo Olivares Dufóo graduated from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) and has a Masters Degree in International Economic Law from the University of Warwick, UK.
He has been a part-time professor at ITAM as well as at the Universidad Anahuac. His professioanl career includes both the public field Banco Nacional de Comercio Exterior (Foreing Trade Bank), Secretaría de Economía (Ministry of Economy), Secretaría de Hacienda y Crédito Público (Ministry of Finance) and Instituto para la protección al Ahorro Bancario (Institute for the Protection of Bank Savings); as well as the private field (White & Case, S.C., Compañia Mexicana de Aviación S.A. de C.V. and for ten years he was General Counsel and Secretary of the Board of Directors at Aerovías de México, S.A. de C.V. (Aeromexico) and Alternate Secretary for Group Aeroméxico, S.A.B. de C.V.
He was partner at Sierra, Vázquez, Olivares & Molina.
